Brian Austin introduced the request and told the board the county planning board (board of zoning) had unanimously recommended approval. "This is a rezoning request for 7130 Hamilton Road," Austin said, describing the parcel as surrounded by agricultural zoning with some light industrial uses nearby. The chair opened the hearing for public comment; no one spoke in support or opposition.
A commissioner moved to approve the rezoning at first reading; another seconded, and the board voted to approve the change. Staff said the rezoning would permit the applicant to combine the parcel with an adjacent tract and return to the records accordingly. The board took no additional conditions at the hearing.
