Supervisor Liz Alessio delivered a broad county update to the Napa County Commission on Aging on March 23, 2026, describing the many committees and boards on which she serves and recent meetings she attended. She told commissioners she had returned from the National Association of Counties conference in Washington, D.C., where she attended sessions on health and economic development and was asked to join the California Association of Counties' Childcare Committee as vice-chair.
Alessio listed her regional appointments, including the Energy Board, Workforce Alliance North Bay Governing Board, Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council, and Napa Childcare Development Planning Council, and said Vine Transit will assign a road supervisor to handle additional paratransit trips as needed. She also distributed information about "Councilman Thompson's bill" described in the meeting as the American Affordability Act 2025. Alessio asked commissioners for input on where the county should present the May Older Adults Month proclamation, noting staff want to shift proclamations into community locations where the work is happening.
