Jury approves budget report and travel authorizations for training and NACo conference

Treasurer Michael Sutton presented the parish budget report during the March 10 meeting, and the Jury approved two travel authorizations.
T.J. Cranford moved, seconded by Dan Lord, to authorize highway department employees to attend diesel technician training in Dallas, Texas from May 4–8, 2026. Dan Lord later moved, seconded by T.J. Cranford, to authorize travel to the National Association of Counties (NACo) conference in New Orleans from July 17–20, 2026. Both motions carried with unanimous votes recorded in the minutes.
The minutes do not include estimated travel costs or the number of employees who will attend the training; staff should document travel expenses and complete required travel forms per parish policy.
