At its Feb. 10 meeting the Lincoln Parish Police Jury reappointed three commissioners to local utility and communications boards.
T.J. Cranford moved, and Annette Straughter seconded, to reappoint Dr. Darryl Johnson as commissioner for Waterworks District No. 2 for a five-year term from Feb. 10, 2026 to Feb. 10, 2031 (Resolution No. 2026-10). Annette Straughter moved, seconded by Chris Garriga, to reappoint TaDarren Jackson to the Lincoln Parish Communications District representing Grambling State University for a four-year term (Feb. 10, 2026–Feb. 10, 2030, Resolution No. 2026-11). Chris Garriga moved, seconded by Annette Straughter, to reappoint Paula Griswold as commissioner of the Greater Ward One Waterworks District for a five-year term (Feb. 10, 2026–Feb. 10, 2031, Resolution No. 2026-12). Each motion carried with recorded unanimous yeas.
"Dr. Darryl Johnson Is hereby and herewith appointed, COMMISSIONER Waterworks District No. 2 Lincoln Parish, Louisiana, For the term of February 10, 2026 – February 10, 2031," the resolution text reads. The minutes show the formal appointment language and the recorded votes but do not record any discussion or statements from the appointees.
