The estimated purchase order total was $135,657.28, with a trade‑in credit of about $33,955. Commissioners approved a motion that included a $150,000 budget amendment from an unspent EMS line item to the Sheriff's equipment account.
Staff indicated 105 of the replacements will go to the sheriff’s office and several will be held in reserve for incidents where weapons are removed as evidence. The board approved the request by voice vote; the purchase will be processed through the usual procurement and PO procedures.
