Troup County commissioners approved several routine equipment and procurement items during the Feb. 17 meeting.
The board authorized the road department to purchase a used bucket truck from Alltech Nuecesco for $84,900, to be paid from SPLOST 5 funds. Commissioners also approved declaring a list of county vehicles and equipment surplus and authorized staff to proceed with disposal and sale on GovDeals.
Separately, the board authorized moving forward with a bid solicitation to obtain pricing for a new clubhouse at the 1st Tee (staff will return with cost estimates in about 30–45 days) and approved a recommendation to award a roof replacement for a LaGrange–Troup County airport maintenance hangar to McCullough Metal Works in the amount of $91,029 to be paid from the airport fund.
Each item was presented by county staff and approved by motion.
