Council unanimously adopts package of resolutions on payments, contracts and senior services

The St. James Parish Council considered a set of resolutions on July 1 and adopted them by roll call vote, with each motion passing on a 7‑0 count. Items approved included Resolution 26‑134 (disbursement of funds to pay pending and current invoices and payables), Resolution 26‑135 (acceptance of work performed by Capital Area Construction, LLC for the Emergency Controls Center exterior renovations project), and Resolution 26‑136 (authorization to advertise for and accept competitive bids for the LA Hwy 3127 Widening utility relocation project).
Other approved actions included Resolution 26‑137 (change order No. 2 for the Humble Phase III Drainage Improvements Project), Resolution 26‑138 (acceptance of a materials contract with Coburn Supply Co. for culverts), and two related Vacherie Senior Center items (Resolutions 26‑139 and 26‑140 accepting change order #5 from B.E.T. Construction, Inc. and accepting work per the certificate of substantial completion). The council also approved senior services agreements and the FY 2027 Title III budget (Resolutions 26‑141, 26‑142 and 26‑143). Each resolution was moved and seconded as noted in the meeting minutes and carried unanimously.
