Committee approves $6,000 agreement to restore Maple Creek cemetery

Staff recommended approval of the $6,000 agreement and the committee approved it by consent.
The chair, describing a recent site visit, said the cemetery was overgrown and volunteers were carrying water by bucket. "Part of this money is going to help put a water tap in for them to make a garden and and do it right," the chair said, stressing the value of preserving local history. The item was handled on the regular agenda and approved without further debate.
