Retirement Center reports 2024 finances; director told to take staffing hire to personnel committee

Johnson asked whether she could hire former director Melissa Blankley to handle the medical side at the facility. Presiding Commissioner Chad Aker told Johnson she needed to take the matter through the personnel committee rather than hiring directly. Commissioners also approved accepting $250 in cash donations collected at Pizza King on behalf of Jay County Country Living; Commissioner Rex Journay moved to accept the donation and Commissioner Chad Aker seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
