Adam presented task order 2026-10 to relocate an affected section of a 12-inch ductile iron water main along the old Osborne Road alignment because the existing main is experiencing recurring leaks and sustained damage even though it is wrapped. The proposed work includes roughly 900 linear feet of 12-inch main, two fire hydrants, a 12-inch gate valve, connection work at both ends, abandonment of the existing line and approximately 210 linear feet of jack-and-bore installation; erosion control, slope stabilization, driveway repairs and a rock allowance for crossings are included. Staff recommended approval at a not-to-exceed cost of $417,924.60.
Commissioners asked about service outages and school impacts; Adam said there is one service connection for Dove Creek Middle School and staff will try to schedule work to avoid disruption. Commissioners also asked about 20-inch casing capacity; staff explained the 20-inch casing is intended to encase a 12-inch pipe and would not accommodate much larger future pipe sizes. The board approved the task order by motion and voice vote.
