Adam presented an encroachment agreement with Georgia Transmission Corporation to allow the county to construct, operate and maintain approximately 75 linear feet of 12-inch gravity sewer within a power easement adjacent to Kwik Trip as part of the US 441 sanitary sewer diversion project. Adam said the agreement requires the county and its contractor to follow high-voltage safety protocols, maintain clearances and provide advance notice before construction; the encroachment must be completed within one year of execution and the only financial impact reported was a $600 application fee.
A commissioner moved to approve the agreement, a second was received and the board approved the authorization for the chairman to execute the agreement and related documents subject to final county-attorney review.
