Jaren said Emergency Billing LLC will take 7.5% of total collections when the county elects to use the company's hardware (7% if county does not use vendor hardware). He said the initial contract term is 12 months, renewable up to five years, and that either party could withdraw under normal county contract notice provisions but the vendor requests 30 days for transition given operational impacts.
Commissioners asked about contract length, renewal and termination rights; Jaren confirmed there is no minimum term and the stated percentage will not change under the contract as presented.
