Public works updated the committee on work at Albert Farms: contractors poured the final driveway and are preparing to finish the parking-lot paving and trail paths, while landscapers are establishing turf and planting. "I think they poured, Monday, the final driveway," the Chair reported while summarizing construction milestones.
The group also discussed the splash pad; staff said a supplier lost an order for one component, but that the splash pad does not strictly require that component to open. Staff proposed a soft opening once landscaping is sufficiently established and construction fencing is removed. Members raised concerns about plants that had been staged for planting and asked staff to confirm watering and site maintenance while construction finishes.
Ending: Staff will monitor landscaping and supply issues and advise the committee when a soft opening date can be finalized.
