Volunteer workdays set to revive Arneson (Artisan's) Garden; first session tentatively June 3

The presenter said volunteers must complete the city’s new volunteer form because of liability considerations and suggested a June 1–Sept. 30 sign-up window so people can attend when they are able. The initial work will focus on weeding and removing invasive or dead plants; leftover perennials from a recent garden-club plant sale were offered for fall planting where appropriate. Staff also proposed keeping the sessions short — about one hour — to encourage steady community participation without a large time commitment.
Committee members discussed logistics including tool availability, debris drop-off and coordinating debris pickup by public works. Staff said they would bring copies of the volunteer form to meetings and collect them for city processing. The committee did not take a formal vote; staff planned to publicize the sessions on Friends of Camby Parks and Camby Now and to return with updates at the next meeting.
