Board approves FY2026 wage increases for Secondary Roads with one dissent

County Engineer Ryne Thornburg presented recommended FY2026 wage increases for Secondary Roads employees and noted the department’s prior review at the Feb. 10 meeting. Following discussion, the board approved the increases on motion by House, seconded by Meek. The vote was Ayes: Meek and House; Nay: Waugh.
The board also reviewed the engineer’s five-year Secondary Roads program and provided comments. The wage-approval vote was recorded as a formal board action; the minutes show the increases were approved as presented by the county engineer on the evening of Feb. 10, 2025.
