The Lantana Town Council on Sept. 18 approved resolution R11-2024, adopting the town's fiscal year 2024–25 budget at $29,500,000 in a unanimous 4–0 vote. The finance director told the council the budget funds 106 full‑time positions and reflects an increase of almost 9% in taxable value.
Finance Director Steve Kaplan, who presented the summary, said: “The total budget overall is $29,500,000, which includes an increase of almost 9% in taxable value. It also includes the funds to, to fund a 106 full time positions.” He added that staff will use some restricted reserves to balance the budget: “We are using some reserves, but they are restricted reserves.” The resolution text read into the record notes the adopted budget may be adjusted by subsequent resolution under certain circumstances.
