"This is a, funding for supplemental salary, through the state. The fees are collected through civil process fees statewide, and the fund, allows us to bring some money back to certain deputies at certain pay levels," the sheriff's office representative said. The resolution was moved and seconded and then approved by a recorded vote of 3–0.
No specific dollar amounts or the number of eligible deputies were presented at the meeting.
