At 11:06 a.m. Extension representatives — Angie Murray (Pawnee County Extension Council), FAC Extension Agent Jacy Buchholz, and Extension Agent Kyle Grant — reviewed their five-year plan and 2027 budget request. The extension team detailed current programs and expressed concern about potential district-office mandates from KSU.
Commissioner Rein told the agents the commission would "work to add the $15,000.00 to the 2027 Budget for Extension," per the minutes. Commissioner Rein also asked the agents to keep budgets down while positions were vacant; commissioners reiterated appreciation for Extension services and acknowledged a broader funding and mandate discussion with KSU.
