Tourism staff to replace county entrance signs and roll out new banners

Tourism staff told the council on April 16 that the department has produced six new pull-up banners, restocked stickers and received a new Patrick County canopy for outreach events.
James Houchins said the county is replacing roadside entrance signs that currently read "enjoy the simple life" with a new slogan and directional creative that will read "find yourself here." He said the magazine has been sent to the printer and additional directional signage should arrive within about a month. The tourism office is also working with consultant Kalen Hunter to develop a strategic plan and an asset inventory for the county's attractions.
