"Parcel tax was approved in 2017. It's $288 per parcel. It brings in about $4,300,000 a year," Mr. Breslin told the board while explaining the oversight committee’s role. Board member Miss Vargo moved to approve the listed committee members; Miss Chavez seconded the motion and the board voted 5–0 in favor.
Board members and student representatives thanked committee members for their willingness to serve. The oversight committee will monitor how Measure A funds are spent and report to the community as required under the parcel tax and local oversight practices; staff said members may be retained consistent with state law that limits service durations.
