Ketch Johnson and Beth Johnson appeared before the council to request support for the Garfield County Jr. Livestock Show. Ketch described options including the city purchasing a lamb or pig or otherwise boosting a participant’s payment; he said 15 kids from the Bryce Valley area take part in the show and the auction is scheduled for Aug. 8 at the Triple C Arena.
Council member Mike Stevens moved to approve a $250 boost for Ketch; Kam Roundy seconded the motion and the council approved it. The motion record shows Bryce Syrett and Cherrie Tebbs recorded as yes after Cherrie reentered the meeting; Gary Syrett was absent for the vote.
