Planning & Zoning seeks fee increases to cover rising publication, software and vehicle costs; committee forwards proposals to County Board

She said "Software costs will be $9000 a year, starting in 2027 for 5 years" and that a vehicle lease is expected to be $8,000 per year (it was budgeted at $5,000 for 2026).
Potter said she needs the proposed fees approved by the committee before projecting revenue and expenditure numbers for the 2027 budget. The committee approved the proposed zoning and sanitary fee increases on a motion by John Bennett, seconded by Dennis Fenner; the motion carried 5-0 and the measures will be forwarded to the County Board for consideration as part of the 2027 budget process.
