Committee approves five-acre rezoning request for Dalton property; forwards to County Board

The Marquette County Planning & Zoning Committee voted 5-0 to approve a rezoning request from Melvin Kuhns that would reclassify five acres in Section 11, T14N R10E (parcel 002-00347-0005) in the Town of Buffalo from Prime Agriculture (AG-1) to Agricultural Residential (AG3(5)). Jean Potter, the county zoning administrator, told the committee that "rezone was properly noticed in local paper twice."
Roger Wallis noted the Town of Buffalo had approved the request "as it was presented," and the committee then adopted a motion by Dennis Fenner, seconded by John Bennett, to approve the rezone and forward it to the County Board. The motion carried 5-0. The committee did not record any conditions or amendments in the meeting minutes; the County Board will consider final action at a subsequent meeting.
