Alan Hickerson, Grant County roadmaster, addressed recent misinformation about the county's rock crushing operation in the Ritter area. Hickerson said the county leases the rock quarry but does not give away or sell crushed rock; under the mutual agreement property owners may use their own equipment to crush and distribute rock.
Hickerson later confirmed that stockpiles remain intact and accounted for and that no unauthorized removal had occurred. The clarification was recorded as part of the road department report to the court.
