Arcadia High learning walk spotlights internships, ELD support and a $2 million pathways grant

Administrators and board members described a Jan. 24 Arcadia High learning walk that showcased student‑driven programs and new investments in career and technical education.
Arcadia High staff highlighted six stations during the visit, including a Golden State Pathways grant award of $2,000,000 spread over five years to support existing pathways (medical technology, education and climate) and develop new pathways in business and digital media. Board members praised ELD classroom supports, academic mentors (students who coach peers), media interns operating a newly donated scoreboard, and library interns supporting social media and programming.
"We're just really proud of what has been built at the high school because we have great people and we believe in our people," said Angie of the Arcadia High School team, thanking staff and listing campus colleagues who led the learning walk. Board members said the visit showed authentic student learning and leadership and noted plans for further learning walks in April.
The board received the report and commended teachers, students and community donors for supporting new internships and programs.
