Arcadia named a demonstration district for SIP inclusive-practices grant; successful credential audit noted

At the Oct. 22 meeting staff reported that Arcadia Unified hosted the first of two visits as a demonstration district for the California Department of Education’s Supporting Inclusive Practices (SIP) grant. Staff said 44 visitors from across the state attended site presentations and tours and that a second visit scheduled for January is already full.
The district also acknowledged successful completion of the annual credentialing audit for 2023–24 and publicly thanked a certificated HR analyst for managing the process. "Registration for our 2nd SIP visit date in January is already full with another group from across the state," the staff report said.
Board members were thanked for site teams and district staff who supported the visit; the presentations were described as demonstrating inclusive practices for students with disabilities and as a positive statewide example.
