Arcadia Unified audit finds no findings; board thanks outgoing auditor

The Arcadia Unified School District board on Dec. 10 approved the district and Measure I bond audits for fiscal year 2023–24 after auditors reported no findings. Peter Glenn, partner at Nigro & Nigro, presented the reports and told trustees that financial statements were fairly stated and there were "no findings" in the areas the firm examined, including the child‑nutrition cluster and state compliance areas added this year.
Board members thanked audit staff and district accounting personnel for their work and noted the district's strong controls. "There were no findings," Glenn said during the presentation. The board then moved and unanimously approved the audit reports 5–0. Trustees also acknowledged Glenn's six years as lead auditor and said a new lead auditor will be on board next year.
Why this matters: Clean audits signal that the district met the accounting and compliance tests auditors performed, including recent state audit areas such as expanded arts/music requirements and home‑to‑school transportation compliance. The board's approval formally accepts the auditors' reports and allows the district to close that chapter of its financial oversight for the year.
