The mayor opened a quasi‑judicial hearing for a special exception request tied to the proposed Lantana Village planned mixed‑use development, citing the code sections under which the request was filed. "I'm gonna open the quasi judicial hearing for 4a consideration of a request for special exception in accordance with section 23‑75, section 23‑101.D.12 for a planned mixed use development to create the Lantana Village planned mixed use development and associated waiver requests," the mayor said when opening the item. After motions to postpone, each item carried 5‑0, and the council set Jan. 9 as the return date for full presentations and public comment.
