Council notes: signal counts, upcoming elections, and community reminders

A county traffic representative updated the council on signalization at the Water Tower Way and Lantana Road intersection, explaining that Palm Beach County controls signal installation and that current side-street volumes do not meet county warrants (the county requires minimum volumes sustained for eight hours a day). The representative said periodic counts continue and buildout of outparcels may change the outcome.
Mayor Lisco reminded residents that school had resumed and urged care in traffic. Staff reviewed upcoming meeting and event dates including a special magistrate hearing Aug. 15, the primary election Aug. 20 and town budget hearings in September. Council members encouraged civic participation and offered routine closing remarks.
