The Lantana Town Council authorized the purchase of an IBM Power 10 server and associated equipment from Clover Systems of Orlando using an NCPA/Omnia piggyback contract. Staff said the new server will replace the town's roughly eight‑year‑old host for the Navalign accounting, payroll and utility‑billing system and that costs exceeded initial budget estimates, requiring the additional appropriation.
Council Member Castle moved to approve the purchase "in the amount of $54,893.12," and the motion was seconded and approved 5‑0. Staff noted the procurement used a cooperative contract and that increased pricing since the earlier budget estimate required the supplemental amount; the IT manager was present to answer technical questions.
