Lantana honors officers for life-saving response using AED

A police department representative recognized Officers Jace Alexander and Kevin Neuse for a life-saving response to an adult male who was found unresponsive at a residence on May 10, 2024. According to the department's account, the officers arrived, performed CPR, used an AED and after one shock the subject regained signs of life and was transferred to Palm Beach County medical personnel.
"After administering 1 shock from the AED, the subject started agonal breathing and regained partial consciousness," the department representative said while describing the May call and the coordination with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. The council stood to applaud the officers; the mayor noted the department's collaboration with Station 37 Fire Rescue and presented Life Saving Awards.
Officer Jace Alexander later said he appreciated the opportunity and looked forward to serving the town. Council members thanked both officers and commended first responders for the coordination that allowed the patient to return home safely.
