Executive Director Trenton Funkhouser reviewed a revised draft of the EDA’s FY26–27 budget on April 13, noting the draft incorporates revenue and expenditure items raised by members, including an upcoming second-half payment under the Blue Catfish study contract that would fall in the next fiscal year.
Board members were informed that the EDA would await the County’s final budget action before taking any final step on the EDA budget. Separately, Mr. Funkhouser reported the county elected to proceed with an appraisal of the Battery Storage site. He also briefly updated the board on interest in potential local facilities for Coastal Seaplanes and on recent ribbon-cutting activity for Collective Creations in Saluda.
Members did not take final budget action at the meeting and instructed staff to coordinate with the county’s budget timeline.
