Council approves generator service and equipment purchases; several abstentions noted

Topeka council approved a $3,475 generator service split among departments and accepted quotes for truck equipment ($23,200.53) and Macqueen boots ($14,175); President Adam Lambright recorded abstentions on some vendor approvals.
During the June 22 meeting council approved a generator service quote of $3,475, to be split three ways among the Fire Department, the wastewater treatment plant and the water department. The motion was made by Justin Geigley, seconded by Steve Schrock, and carried by recorded vote.
Council also approved a quote from FMI, LLC for new truck equipment totaling $23,200.53 and awarded Macqueen Boots in the amount of $14,175. Both vendor approvals passed by recorded motions, though President Adam Lambright registered abstentions on the FMI, LLC and Macqueen Boots votes. The actions were presented by Stewart Bender and recorded in the minutes.
