Eric Sackett of Rio Verde Engineering presented the project summary and recommended Wylie Construction as the lowest responsive bidder. Commissioner Bradley moved to award the contract; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Vickrey and carried 5-0. Sackett also asked the board for direction on a separate cattleguard scope; the board told engineering to prepare proposals and proceed with evaluating options before issuing a separate contract.
The award authorizes county staff and Rio Verde Engineering to finalize contractual documents with Wylie Construction and advance the project to construction. No implementation dates were specified during the meeting.
