The motion was made by Anton Webre and seconded by Doug McMinn. The board approved the expenditure by roll call vote; Chairman John Anzivino, Webre, McMinn and Jean Hallie-Holmes voted yes, while Gerald Crittenden and Joe Heyman recorded abstentions. During discussion, Mr. Crittenden said the event historically draws over 3,000 people to the Deltaville area, a factor cited by members in favor of supporting the event.
The board did not attach additional conditions to the payment. The sponsorship was recorded as a one-time contribution to assist the community association’s celebration and related public attendance and tourism activity.
