County renews ES&S election-software maintenance for two years despite small budget increases
Summary
Auditor Michelle Scaff told the board ES&S is a sole-source election software vendor; staff amended the current agreement for two more years, noting a budget-year-25 increase of about $369 and an FY26 increase of about $7,600. The board approved the renewal 5-0.

County Auditor Michelle Scaff presented an amendment to extend the ES&S maintenance and software-license agreement for two years, describing ES&S as the county's election software vendor and effectively sole source. Scaff said staff and the vendor worked to extend the current agreement rather than create a new procurement.
Scaff reported the renewal cost slightly exceeds the FY25 budget (an increase described in the meeting as about $369) and will increase FY26 costs by roughly $7,600; she said staff will absorb or reallocate the overage. The board voted 5-0 to approve the maintenance and support extension.
