The Tonkawa City Council entered executive session at 1:42 p.m. on June 13 to discuss a proposed city real estate purchase and to consider approval of FY2025-26 collective bargaining agreements with the Tonkawa Fraternal Order of Police and the International Association of Firefighters. The motion to enter executive session was made by Councilman Charles Conaghan and seconded by Councilman Reese Simpson.
The council resumed regular session at 2:17 p.m. and, by motion of Conaghan seconded by Simpson, directed City Manager Nick Payne to put down earnest money on the property under consideration. The minutes record the motion as passing; Councilman Simpson left the meeting at 2:19 p.m.
