District reports highlight concerts, robotics and athletics ahead of holiday break

District administrators reported a busy but positive period of student activities heading into the holiday break. Superintendent Bryan DeAugustine noted concerts, celebrations and athletics; he thanked staff and volunteers for their support of elementary concerts and upcoming band and holiday performances.
Chris Marana highlighted ARES concerts and congratulated the 4th–5th grade Robotics team for finishing fourth overall at a competition held at Northern Michigan University. Griffin Lawson said the ARMS music programs performed well and that the 8th-grade boys' basketball team would play in the middle school tournament championship game the following evening. The minutes record strong participation in high-school Thanksgiving food drives as well.
