Commissioners approve rezoning in Alpine Meadows to allow carwash, laundromat and storage

Shannon McBride described a rezoning application for Lot 194-24 in the Alpine Meadows subdivision. "The applicant was wanting to go to Commercial 2 so they can do a carwash, laundromat, and eventually storage units," McBride said. The Planning & Zoning Commission had unanimously recommended the zone change.
Chair Gwen Brown moved approval of Ordinance O 2026-07 to amend the lot from Commercial 1 to Commercial 2; the motion carried with all commissioners present voting in favor. The ordinance change allows the property owner to pursue the commercial uses described, subject to any required permitting.
