During discussion of the 0.667 proposal, S5 moved to add several specific fiscal items into Section 3 of the draft regional agreement and S1 seconded the motion. "So, I'll I'll make that motion to add that into section 3," S5 said when putting the suggested amendments on the table. Committee members immediately raised technical and jurisdictional questions about whether some bullets were already governed by budget processes or by administrative functions of the superintendent/business office.
After hearing those concerns, S5 withdrew the motion for the moment and committed to return with a narrowed, revised list for the committee and for their select board. The committee directed staff to draft alternative language and to consider an MOU to apply any near‑term changes for the coming fiscal cycle if needed.
