University students present Oak Island Park expansion survey showing playground, trails and native landscaping as top priorities

The student-presenters reported results from a resident survey: the top three amenities residents wanted were an updated playground, unpaved walking trails, and native landscaping. They recommended replacing deteriorating play equipment, adding climbing and interactive play features designed for all ages and abilities, and improving safety with protective barriers, additional crosswalks and sidewalks.
