The board invited Catherine — identified as a graduate of the Air Force Academy and the Fairfield Veterans Day parade’s grand marshal — to speak. Catherine described her service and urged residents to ‘‘show your support in any way you can, whether it's attending a parade next week… or thanking them for their service.’’ The board posed for a photo and thanked the veteran honorees before moving on to regular agenda business.
