The demonstration cautioned that "the tiniest amount, just 2 milligrams, is enough to kill someone," and the sheriff said local enforcement had seized hundreds of thousands of pills this year. On xylazine, the sheriff said in the hearing: "It's called Xylazine," and noted that the county lab is testing for it and that it complicates overdose response because Narcan will not offset xylazine's respiratory suppression. County officials said the Narcan video will be shared on social channels to educate the public.
