Kylie Peacock, City of Clearlake Stormwater representative, told the council that the Stormwater Resource Plan was presented to Clearlake and Lakeport councils in January and will be taken to the Board of Supervisors for adoption on March 17. Peacock said that once the Board adopts the plan, staff can submit a self-certification checklist and the plan to the State Water Board and become eligible to apply for special stormwater grants.
Council members did not vote on adoption at the Feb. 19 meeting; Peacock’s update laid out the next procedural step and a grant-eligibility timeline tied to the March 17 Board meeting. Staff indicated intent to pursue grant opportunities after adoption but provided no specific grant solicitations at this meeting.
