Phil Crane told the board the Conservation Commission will have two vacancies by the end of the month and requested permission to purchase plants for the Star Lake Recreation area at a cost of $409. Treasurer Liz Karle said the Commission may be over budget and asked to review whether funds are available.
Mr. Crane asked if the Town could hold donations to support weed-harvesting operations (including operator payments and repairs) and proposed using leftover MERP grant funds to install LED lights in the Town Office. Karle said donations could be held by the Town but donors would need to be acknowledged and any purchases would have to follow the Town’s procurement policy.
