The minutes note SCDNR had earlier expressed interest in restoring flow to Scott Creek as part of the project, but SCDOT concluded restoring flow would not provide significant advantage for the causeway effort.
On local streets, Town Administrator Mark Aakhus reported he has asked the Town’s engineer to prioritize town‑owned roads for resurfacing and said cost estimates will be sought. Funding options, including potential Colleton County Transportation Committee (CTC) support, will be considered as part of planning.
