At the April 29 special meeting the Select Board voted to appoint Dawn Augustine as interim Assistant Treasurer and authorized Mark Turco as a second signer on town bank accounts. Diana Garrow moved to appoint Augustine as interim Assistant Treasurer and Jeff Chase seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Diana Garrow then moved to add Mark Turco as an account signer; Jeff Chase seconded and the board approved that motion unanimously as well.
The board recorded that Dawn Augustine had previously been authorized to sign checks as an Assistant Treasurer and the temporary appointments are intended to ensure the town can continue routine financial transactions. Board members asked outgoing Treasurer Liz Karle to provide a list of the banking entities holding town accounts so signers and account records can be verified. Carol Garrow-Woolley noted that the Credit Union of Vermont account currently lists Shireen Geimer as the only signer.
