The Mount Holly Select Board accepted the resignation of Town Treasurer Liz Karle at a special meeting on April 29, 2026. Mark Turco moved to accept Karle’s resignation; Diana Garrow seconded and the motion was approved unanimously. The board recorded that a replacement will be appointed to complete the current term, which runs through March 2027.
Board members clarified immediate administrative effects: because Assistant Treasurers serve at the pleasure of the Treasurer, current assistants no longer hold those posts unless separately appointed by the Select Board. Mark Turco asked the Town Clerk to advertise the open Treasurer position so the board can appoint someone to finish the term. The meeting record notes that the board agreed the appointment will fill the remainder of the term rather than create a different election schedule.
