"Put a roller hockey rink in there for the kids to play roller hockey," Frank (S7) said as an example of a low-cost, temporary use that could be set up and removed seasonally. Commissioners also suggested coordinating with local schools and university programs for student ensembles and seasonal choir events tied to the village tree-lighting.
Other members recommended a Halloween dog parade and cooking competitions as community draws; the board emphasized pairing events with promotion so residents know when and where to attend. Staff agreed to outline pilot activities and potential partner organizations for the next meeting.
