Vacaville veterans group presents donated building improvements; board accepts work

Jeff Jewell said the basement floor alone was an estimated $100,000 in donated work and materials from union participants and that many contractors and eagle-scout projects contributed time and materials.
Supervisor Vasquez introduced the team and noted how the building serves county veterans; the board moved to receive the presentation and accept the donated work, voting 5-0 to approve. Members of the public and veterans’ organizations attended the recognition and joined a photo opportunity after the vote.
